Changes to the Chestnuts telephone system.

Dates for your awareness - Practice Changes

From Monday 2nd March, 2020, all calls made to our Chestnuts Surgery will be transferred to our Hallgate Surgery telephone system.

We have heard your feedback loud and clear, and want to ensure that our telephone queues are tackled in an efficient way as soon as possible. In addition, the new system will allow us to measure our incoming call volumes to review how we manage our calls over time.

We are hoping that this change in systems will help us in our effort to minimise wait times over the phone and we have reviewed our staffing levels at the Hallgate site to support this change.

Please keep in mind that there are also other ways to make appointments and to submit queries and medication requests, including the following:

The NHS app – you can download this via your smart phone play or app store.

Engage consult – you can submit this via our website “online consultation”.

SystmOnline Services – you can register at reception for this with your ID.

Please note: There will be no changes to the Chestnuts telephone number at this time and lines will be open 08:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday.

We do not expect this system transfer to cause any inconvenience to our patients, but please be aware that if the experience is somewhat different to what you are used to, this is why.

We appreciate your cooperation.

Kind regards,

The Chestnuts & Hallgate Surgery
